MTU series engine is one of the few diesel engines equipped with  MDEC(electronic  monitoring  and  management  system) in the world,4000  series  diesel  engine  is  the  first  large  diesel engine with common rail injection system technology in the world. MDEC collects and tests the main parameters of the engine during operation,so that the fuel can be completely burned in the cylinder,and  the  real  electronic  injection  can  be  realized.MTU engine has the best fuel consumption,the lowest smoke at start- up and sudden loading,and the best cold start performance. The performance of fuel saving and environmental protection is outstanding in the world at present.The period of no overhaul is up to 30000  hours,which  is far  more  than  10000-20000  hours of ordinary diesel engine.MDEC also has the function of fault diagnosis and fault code display.The structure of MTU2000 and 4000  series  engines:water-cooled,turbocharged  exhaust  gas, four-stroke,V-shaped   cylinder   with   a   90-degree   angle,2000 series  air  intake  is  mainly  air-to-air  intercooling,4000  series water-to-air intercooling.The emissions of MTU 2000 and 4000 series engines meet the environmental protection standards of TA Luft,CARB,EPA  and  EU-2.
